Manchester United have reportedly been told to cough up £25 million if they want to sign Fabinho from Monaco.
With Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones’ future at Old Trafford looking uncertain, United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to bolster his backline and the Monaco defender has emerged as the top target for the Portuguese tactician. The English giants have been tracking the right-back all summer but have not taken any concrete step yet.
The Ligue 1 outfit are hopeful of keeping Fabinho at the club. But according to French news outlet L’Equipe, Monaco could consider selling him if the Red Devils offer £25m.
Meanwhile, it is claimed that the 22-year old, who has been dubbed ‘the new Dani Alves’, won’t force a transfer.
Fabinho has made 34 appearances and scored six goals for Monaco after joining them from Rio Ave in 2015. He joined Real Madrid on loan in 2013 but failed to make the grade at the Bernabeu and only played one match.
