Manchester United are reportedly going for Argen Robben to add more pace in the final third.

A report from Daily Mirror claims Manchester United are keeping an eye on  Arjen Robben’s current situation at Bayern Munich planning a potential bid for the veteran winger.

United are going nice and steady in the Premier League this season but a large portion of the fans have become increasingly frustrated with Dutch manager Louis van Gaal’s strategy as the lack of goals hints serious concern.

Having just 17 goals this term, the Red Devils are now the lowest scorers among the top seven Premier League clubs, also United supporters demand more pace in the final third from van Gaal’s boys who so far are quite dull.

According to the report from The Mirror, under pressure United boss might look to include more spark by a reunion with Bayern Munich winger Robben while the Dutchman is said to be disgruntled now in Pep Guardiola’s squad.

The 31-year-old attacker had worked with Louis van Gaal at Bayern Munich earlier and also with the Holland national team, so he may look for an escape route from the German side following his fellow striker Robert Lewandowski’s allegation towards him targeting his greedy play, suggests The Mirror.

If Robben is truly not happy and looking for a move, signing for United could become ideal for him now. van Gaal keen to add more pace in the final third, and bringing a player with whom he has worked earlier might go well for United. You have to keep in mind, Robben proved himself with Chelsea in the Premier League previously too. But the Dutch star was on the verge of joining United in 2004 but apparently signed with the Blues.

Bayern manager Pep Guardiola already has Douglas Costa, Kingsley Coman and Thomas Muller at his disposal in the attacking department, so landing quite a hefty fee for an experienced player who is aging faster could succeed a potential deal with Manchester United.
