Manchester United have been dealt a major blow in their attempts of signing Pedro from Barcelona after the forward has agreed to join Chelsea this summer following a €28million bid being accepted by the Catalan giants.
It will be one of the best last-time swoops in recent history with Jose Mourinho and Cesc Fabregas convincing Pedro to join Chelsea in just a conversation of two hours. Following the disappointment, United have set their sights on Southampton’s dynamic player Sadio Mane.
Sadio Mane famously holds the Premier League record for the fastest hattrick being scored by any player ever. Mane achieved the feat in 2 minutes 56 seconds last season against Aston Villa.
According to Sky Sports, United are preparing a bid for Sadio Mane, 23 to fill the void left by the attacking players this summer. United are now desperate to bring in new faces in the attacking sense after seeing Wayne Rooney flattering to deceive and not enough to go on from the bench either.
M.E.N confirmed that United had lodged official bid last week, however, Southampton have come out denying any formal offer for the 23-year old winger and have confirmed that no bids will be entertained for the player as he is much like Thomas Muller, not set for a price tag.
For now, it seems like Manchester United are set for another transfer failure as Mane looks set to stay with Southampton and Pedro joining Chelsea.
