Manchester United are confident of securing the services of Irish International right-back Seamus Coleman. Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal would look to sign the Everton right-back, who will not come for a fee less than £25 Million.
Seamus Coleman is seen as the ideal option to play in the Van Gaal’s preferred 3 men defense with wing backs deployed on either sides. Manchester United can not claim to have a specialist in the wing back positions. Currently Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young are occupying those slots and by all means those two are wingers and just filling in for injured Rafael and Luke Shaw.
As per Daily Star, Daily Mail & Mirror, Seamus Coleman is getting closer to a £25 Million switch to Old Trafford. Seamus Coleman is one of the finest attacking right backs in the Premier League and his signing will come as a major boost for Manchester United’s late title aspirations.
This deal is looking like a possibility due to Everton’s poor form this season which sees the blue Mersyside club languish in the second half of the Premier League table. According to the reports, Manchester United failed with a bid to land Coleman in the last Transfer window thus a January move for the gifted right back could be back on the cards.
Everton have recently shown interest in bringing Adnan Januzaj to Goodison Park and the Coleman’s transfer could act as the levarage for either of the teams to negotiate a deal which might see Seamus Coleman join the Old Trafford outfit. Coleman will be more than capable of playing in Van Gaal’s preferred 3-5-2 or the 4-4-2 formation.
In other reports Nemanja Vidic could be set for a return to Manchester United for free. Just six months in to his life at Inter Milan, new manager Roberto Mancini has put him on transfer list, according to Gazzetta Dola Sports. Louis Van Gaal is keen to bring the former United star back to his forterous. More to follow on this at Sportzwiki, keep a close eye on this news.
