Manchester United have been one of the busiest clubs in terms of transfers since the start of the season as current manager at the Old Trafford, Jose Mourinho, has been looking to add some star names to his squad to help them compete with the best.
The Red Devils are not too far away from a place in the top-4 n the points table and Mourinho will hope that they can qualify for Europe next season.
And he seems confident that his team needs quality additions to help him have a shot at glory.
However, the manager is now ready to let one of the best players to have ever played for the club leave this summer.
According to reports all over the media, club captain Wayne Rooney is heading to China before the end of the month.
The English international is one of the most prolific goal scorers to have played in the Premier League and he is currently the top goal scorer for Manchester United in their history.
However, he has found the first team chances hard to come by this season and has been linked with an exit.
Though it initially looked like United would not be ready to sell, Jose Mourinho has finally made up his mind and is ready to let the skipper leave to the Chinese Premier League before the deadline day on Tuesday next week.
The national team captain for England, Rooney, has been alerted in the past about interests from around the Chinese League and reports from BBC claim that the player’s agent is now in China to finalise a deal.
It was earlier understood that Beijing Guoan were the hot favourites to land the striker but a report from BBC claims that they are not interested in his signature anymore.
This leaves Jiangsu Suning and Tianjin Quanjian as the only two options for the striker, with both teams ready to pay record wages for his services.
Rooney’s agent Paul Stretford is now looking to manufacture a move before the end of the deadline day but it is not all rosy.
The England international is no more on the wishlist of the Beijing outfit while Tianjin Quanjian coach Fabio Cannavaro revealed that talks with the player have not progressed well recently.
So though Mourinho is ready to sell and Rooney ready to leave, not everything is falling into place and Rooney might actually not move before the end of the season.
He is wanted by Everton in the summer so Rooney might yet completely ditch the Chinese outfits this month.
Do you think Rooney should move to China?
