Manchester United’s new Dutchmen Louis van Gaal and Memphis Depay have not been able to adjust themselves to the Premier League but the former PSV Eindhoven winger was given a warm welcome back at the Philips Stadion on Sunday.

Depay was an unused substitute in the 1-0 loss to Southampton and after the game he flew out to Netherlands to watch his former team in action in the Eredivisie.

PSV put four past a struggling Twente side to close in the gap between the table toppers Ajax. Hector Moreno scored a brace while Andres Guardado picked up three assists in the 4-2 victory for the hosts.

Jari Oosterwijk opened the scoring for Twente but PSV came back to take away all three points in an emphatic victory and are 2nd in the points table behind Ajax with 44 points, just three behind the leaders.

Depay who had a great career at the Dutch club made a great impression on the world cup for the national team and attracted a lot of interest from top European clubs.

Louis van Gaal was adamant to bring him to Old Trafford and spent 25 million to attain his services. However, the 21 year old has not been able to replicate his form in England and has scored just 5 goals in 28 games.

He has missed some games due to injury this season that could have hampered his progress but he will have to come back to his best and find some level of consistency if they are to play in the Champions League next season.
