Manchester United have submitted their squad for their upcoming Champions League qualification play-off game against Club Brugge. Among big names missing from the squad is former Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes, whose United career is heading for a fast exit.

Manchester United’s squad for the Champions League Qualification play-off:

Goalkeepers: David de Gea, Anders Lindegaard, Sergio Romero, Sam Johnstone.

Defenders: Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Jonny Evans, Chris Smalling, Luke Shaw, Paddy McNair, Matteo Darmian, Tyler Blackett.

Midfielders: Adnan Januzaj, Michael Carrick, Daley Blind, Ashley Young, Ander Herrera, Antonio Valencia, Marouane Fellaini, Morgan Schneiderlin, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Jesse Lingard, Andreas Pereira, Memphis Depay, Juan Mata

Forwards: Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez, James Wilson.

The recent run of ill treatment has confirmed Valdes’s exit from Manchester United after he was not part of United’s squad picture, neither was he given a squad number nor he featured in United’s kit unveilings this season.

Manchester United are hoping to avoid all jitters and qualify for this season’s Champions League group stages by playing a two-legged tie against Belgian side Club Brugge.

First leg of the game will take place on 18-19th August while 2nd leg will be played on 25-26th August 2015.
