Manchester United are set to reignite their interest in Arsenal target Antoine Griezmann, so they can pair him with club’s new signing another Frenchman Anthony Martial in the attacking line.

According to Spanish media quoted by The Telegraph, Real Madrid are also hoping to tempt the 24-year-old from their city rival Atletico Madrid.

Both Manchester United and Arsenal were tracking him before he signed for Atletico in 2014. Griezmann was also heavily linked with the two clubs in summer transfer window. But Real Madrid are also in the run as new boss Rafa Benitez hopes the Griezmann-Benzema combination will give the Spanish giant much success if they can recreate their good international form in club stage.

Chelsea also tracked the Frenchman back in summer and even considered to make a bid of £28million. Although Griezmann penned a new contract which says he will be at Vincente Calderon until 2020. His buyout clause also has been upped recently.

United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward already confirmed that the club will not be sitting mum in the upcoming transfer window despite their massive signings in summer. Since the arrival of van Gaal, the Red Devils have spent staggering over £250million in the likes of young talents Memphis Depay, Anthony Martial and Schneiderlin.
