Louis van Gaal will not be happy with his team’s recent form in front of goal. They have scored just 5 goals in their last five games and have lacked the incisiveness needed to score goals in the final third. The club has an array of stars but they are low on confidence at the moment and will be happy that they are still getting results from tough games. They will face yet another tough fixture this weekend when they play Slaven Bilic’s side in the Premier League.
West Ham started the season in great fashion getting three points from games at the Emirates, Anfield and the Etihad. They have been a successful team on the travels and will surely give United a run for their money when the two teams meet. The Manchester United vs West Ham United match will take place on Saturday the 5th of December at the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester. The kick off is scheduled at 3:00 pm BST (8:30 pm IST).
Van Gaal is still sweating over the fitness of his regular starters Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones. He will have to start with Chris Smalling and McNair at the back. Jesse Lingard is on his way to recovery but this game came a bit too quickly for the youngster. Captain Wayne Rooney is however fit and ready to start for Manchester United on Saturday.
Diafra Sakho will be a big loss for Slaven Bilic. The forward is out of the game for up-to three months and has left his team a bit short in options up front. Dimitri Payet and Enner Valencia are long term absentees for the club and will not be available for the game. The tall striker Andy Carroll is all set to lead the line for the Hammers against at the Old Trafford.

With Blind expected to start this game as a left back, he will have to deal with the energetic Lanzini on the counters against West Ham on Saturday. Blind is a sound defensive player but will have to be alert and on his toes as Lanzini has been in excellent form in the recent games. If Blind is able to keep him quite, the Hammers will have a lot of work to do up front to get a result from this game.
Martial vs Reid:
Anthony Martial has been a revelation for Manchester Untied after he joined the club this summer. He is quick and has a number of skills up his sleeve. It will not be easy to keep up with the young striker and Winston Reid will have this job on the weekend. Reid has also been good so far for the Hammers and will hope that he can keep Martial’s danger to a bare minimum.

United have struggled to create and score goals and will have to change their style of play quickly if they want to stay in the title race till the end of the season. They have been fighting for results off late and may have a tough time against a West Ham side which has done wonderfully well against top side on the their travels this season. Slaven Bilic’s side can easily come out of this game with a result.
