Louis van Gaal will not be happy with his team’s recent form in front of goal. They have scored just 5 goals in their last five games and have lacked the incisiveness needed to score goals in the final third. The club has an array of stars but they are low on confidence at the moment and will be happy that they are still getting results from tough games. They will face yet another tough fixture this weekend when they play Slaven Bilic’s side in the Premier League.

West Ham started the season in great fashion getting three points from games at the Emirates, Anfield and the Etihad. They have been a successful team on the travels and will surely give United a run for their money when the two teams meet. Here is the Preview of the game along with the Team News, Predictions and Expected Line-ups.

The Manchester United vs West Ham United match will take place on Saturday the 5th of December at the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester. The kick off is scheduled at 3:00 pm BST (8:30 pm IST).

Team News:

Van Gaal is still sweating over the fitness of his regular starters Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones. He will have to start with Chris Smalling and McNair at the back. Jesse Lingard is on his way to recovery but this game came a bit too quickly for the youngster. Captain Wayne Rooney is however fit and ready to start for Manchester United on Saturday.

Diafra Sakho will be a big loss for Slaven Bilic. The forward is out of the game for up-to three months and has left his team a bit short in options up front. West Ham United:

Adrian; Jenkinson, Reid, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Kouyate, Noble; Lanzini, Zarate, Moses, Carroll.

Key Battle:

Lanzini vs Blind:

With Blind expected to start this game as a left back, he will have to deal with the energetic Lanzini on the counters against West Ham on Saturday. Blind is a sound defensive player but will have to be alert and on his toes as Lanzini has been in excellent form in the recent games. If Blind is able to keep him quite, the Hammers will have a lot of work to do up front to get a result from this game.

Martial vs Reid:

Anthony Martial has been a revelation for Manchester Untied after he joined the club this summer. He is quick and has a number of skills up his sleeve. Reid has also been good so far for the Hammers and will hope that he can keep Martial’s danger to a bare minimum.
