Liverpool made one of the most controversial purchases a couple of seasons ago under the then manager Brendan Rodgers.
The Reds were in desperate need of striking options after Luis Suarez moved to Barcelona and Rodgers though he could mend Balotelli into a man who can help the club to glory moving for him on a permanent basis from AC Milan.
However, the Italian hardly made any impact on the squad and was just another player that the manager bought that did not fit into the squad.
He scored just the one goal in the entire season at the club and moved back to AC Milan to have yet another impact less season.
He is now training away from the Liverpool squad as Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he has no plans of keeping him at the club and has already asked the 26-year old to look at clubs that are ready to pay for him.
This has seen the Italian linked with almost every other Italian club and few Turkish clubs and also some in England.
However, recent reports have strongly linked him with a move to France with League 1 outfit Nice reportedly desperate for a striker ahead of the next season.
The president of the club in a recent interview spoke about his team’s need for a striker and asked Balotelli’s phone number in a press conference.
This was a sign of things to come as reports today have suggested that the player may well be on his way to France before the deadline day.
According to the Mail, Balotelli was pictured throwing a farewell party for all his friend in Manchester City center on Monday.
Wearing lime green high-top trainers, and an equally garish T-shirt, Balotelli hosted a dinner which is said to be a farewell party ahead of his imminent move to Nice before Wednesday.
The £16m man was for the one last time stamping his flair on the city after he got a parking ticket for £60 on his Mercedes.
This deal will be a part of the late clear out at Anfield that Jurgen Klopp is now busily involved in. The fans of the club will hope that he can find some form in France and find a new home by the end of the next year.
Do you think Balotelli has any future at Liverpool?
