Massive: Will Paul Pogba play for Manchester United this Sunday?

Paul Pogba is expected to arrive in England this week to complete his sensational move to Manchester United and could even make his debut for United on Sunday.

Last night the Juventus star posted a cryptic message on his social media accounts on boarding an aeroplane. In the image posted on his social media accounts, the Juventus midfielder is spotted looking into the distance. And the caption reads: “flight delay, thinking of football #holidays #footballislife.”

It is believed the French midfielder is heading to New York for the final part of his holiday in the United States.

But Daily Star claims Pogba will this week fly to Manchester for a medical and to complete his world-record £112million transfer. The extremely talented midfielder is set to sign a contract worth £275,000-a-week to make him one of the highest-paid players at the club, four years after leaving for free.

United boss Jose Mourinho is confident to wrap up the signing in time to hand Pogba his debut this weekend. Premier League champions Leicester will be up against FA Cup winners Manchester United in this season’s curtain-raiser Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday.

Pogba could play a part against the Foxes, having kept himself fit during his two-week holiday. The 23-year-old has regularly posted pictures and videos on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram – playing basketball, football and working out in the gym.

According to some reports, he will be in New York next, with journalist Nabil Djellit hinting he could be there for a medical.

Djellit, who writes for L’Equipe and France Football, last night tweeted: “After #Miami, #LA, and #Vegas, #Pogba flies to #NY..Best known for its skyscrapers for medical visits…”

However, it is reported that United want Pogba to undergo his medical in Manchester given the incredible amount of money involved in the deal. The Juventus midfielder will become the most expensive player of all time at £112m, dwarfing the £80m fee Real Madrid paid Tottenham for Gareth Bale in 2009.
