There have been regular speculations as to where will Ronaldo head to next after Real Madrid and finally his agent Jorge Mendes has doused all expectations that he might make a Premier League return by saying that the former Lisbon star will in all likely retire at Real Madrid.
There is no need to enumerate the achievements of the Portuguese and further highlighting the prowess of the Madrid forward is none other than his agent who has said that the ex Manchester United star will play till he is 40! Furthermore talking about Ronaldo’s future, Mendes further added that “He’s the best player of all time. I am sure that he will play the next four, five, six or seven years at Real Madrid. He will end his career there”.
Ronaldo’s contract with the Madrid outfit lasts till June 2018, but if the agent of the three time Ballon d’Or winner is to be trusted then the Portuguse star is likely to end his career at the Santiago Bernabeu. “He’s happy with Los Blancos. He’ll hang up his boots when he’s 40” said the super agent.
Currently Real Madrid occupies the 2nd position in the league with only a point shy of table toppers Barcelona. On 30th the Los Blacos take on Real Sociedad at home and would want to continue their winning run in the league. Real will enter the encounter on the backs of a 10-2 win over Vallecano which though has been a terrific performance by the team, has really not helped Benitez’s cause.
Benitez’s position has been under fire since Madrid lost to Barcelona by a margin of 4 goals. And the availability of Mourinho makes matters worse for the Spaniard as Perez is said to be inclined towards getting the Special One back for another term. But the Portuguese does not share a good relationship with any of the players in the current squad with Ronaldo and him said to have ended things on bitter note. So how will things work out if the Portuguese does come to Santiago Bernabeu? It will be difficult but as the super agent says ‘nothing is impossible’! Good news for Madrid fans?
