The agent of AS Monaco defender Aymen Abdennour has claimed that as many as four European heavyweights are vying for the signature of his client. Abdennour is also wanted by Liverpool to sure up their defense.
The Tunisian centre-half has been rock solid for the principality outfit, and his stellar showing at the heart of Monaco’s defence has garnered the attention of Europe’s elite.
And talking to Footmercato, Abdennour’s representative Abdelkader Jilani said, “There are a number of clubs with whom we have already been in touch,” Abdennour’s representative, Abdelkader Jilani, told Footmercato.
“There are Milan and Inter from Italy, Barcelona from Spain and then of course Juventus, who have already approached Monaco.
“I do not think Monaco would oppose a transfer.”
Along with the aforementioned four, Arsene Wenger was reportedly interested in raiding his former club for the Werder Bremen defender.
Not long ago, the 25-year-old had signed a contract extension in March, which would see the Sousse born Tunisia International at the Stade Louis II till 2019.
But Abdennour has kept no secret of his intensions to swap the red and white of Monaco for a bigger club.
“I have a contract with Monaco, but I cannot deny that I want to improve and would love to play for one of the biggest clubs in Europe. I am ready for it,” he had told Tuttosport.
