According to latest reports from England, Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli was advised by Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho to drop out of Premier League and join a Championship club to revive his career.
Mario Balotelli who had moved to Anfield amid high expectations back in 2014 has never been phenomenal for the Reds as he was sent on loan to AC Milan last season.
Balotelli has scored only 4 goals in his debut season at Liverpool but could not make his impact felt even in Serie A with AC Milan as he managed only 3 goals in 23 appearances last season.
The player has no future under Jurgen Klopp as the Reds are keen to offload him this summer. The 26-year old is linked with a moves to clubs in Italy, China as well as few championship clubs.
Mourinho have strong links with Championship club Wolves after his close friend and agent Jorge Mendes sold 20 per cent of his company Gestifute to the club’s new Chinese owners.
The Wolves are keen to make an audacious attempt to sign Balotelli as they are now rich in resources as they are now being managed by Inter Milan legend Walter Zenga.
The Italian has only one year left on his contract with reds and both the player and the club are keen to part ways this summer. The Reds are keen to recoup at least some of the £16 million they paid for him in 2014.
