Louis Van Gaal to be offered a higher post at Manchester United so that Jose Mourinho can have the managerial post.
According to SunSport, Van Gaal will soon be given the director of football post at Manchester United, which will see the Dutchman complete his contract of a three-year contract with the Red Devils. Van Gaal had a poor run at the Manchester club, but still the executive vice chairman Ed Woodward wants him to stay and use his vast footballing knowledge. But with Jose Mourinho also available, Woodward thinks the managerial post won’t be the ideal option for the Dutchman.
Jose Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea after a disappointing season as the defending champions, and since then he has rejected every job so that he can move to the Old Trafford to manage Manchester United. After Jose left Chelsea, Manchester United opened talks with the Portuguese and were heavily linked to bringing him to the club as soon as possible, claims SunSport.
The fans showed that they are not happy which the Dutchman by booing him on Thursday, this opens the door for Jose, who was a good friend of Van Gaal when the Dutchman was in Barcelona.
But for now, Van Gaal only wants to win the FA Cup tonight against Crystal Palace to avoid a trophy-less season and leave the rest up to the board.
