The world of football is one of the most demanding one as fans from around the world hate to see their favorite club lose in a game of any consequence.
They are even more demanding when it comes to games that have a say in the future of the club in a top flight domestic competition.
So it does not come as a surprise that fans of almost every club take every opportunity to abuse the opposition every chance they get.
Players, when travel away from home, are constantly facing abuse from fans of their opponents and in the past, there have been a number of ways where the players and the manager taking such abuse came out victorious.
The result on the field will have its own say but some people love to make a point when needed and AS Roma manager Luciano Spalletti was involved in one such incident at the weekend.
The Rome-based outfit are currently in the 2nd place in the points table, 7 points behind Juventus at the top and the manager will be happy with the performance his side put in to take all three points at the weekend on their trip to Crotone, a newly promoted side.
The minnows had no answer for the Italian giants as they fell to a 2-0 defeat, thanks to goals from Edin Dzeko and Radja Nainggolan but Spalletti was not really happy with the second half performance of his side on the night.
He was evidently frustrated with the way his team allowed the opposition to get back into the game, and though they managed to keep a clean sheet, the manager had a tough time on the night.
Spalletti, who is a character on the touchline, was constantly abused by the fans of the newly promoted side on the night.
The Italian manager, who hates to take any stick for his work in his home country, was not pleased with the way he was treated and he was angry right at the end of the game and came up with a fitting gesture.
After the game was almost done and dusted, Spalletti, took a while off from the game in extra-time and turned around to a group of supporters who were throwing constant abuse towards him.
He stood there, staring at the group, for more than a couple of minutes, asking them to spill it out on his face.
Here are the images:

After the game, Spalletti spoke about his gesture and said, Spalletti: “There was someone shouting at me for 40 mins. I made myself at his disposal. If you wanna insult me at least do it to my face”
The Italian, who is in his second spell as a manager of the Italian outfit, will want to steer away from any such controversy.
