Arsene Wenger’s side bounced back from a defeat against the Baggies last weekend with a victory against Dinamo Zagreb at the Emirates in the Champions League this mid-week. They squandered a chance to go to the top of the table last weekend and will now face Norwich city away from home in their next Premier League fixture. The Gunners are hit with a number of injuries and the last few weeks have tested the full depth of the Arsenal squad.
Alex Neil’s Norwich City will face their second consecutive tough fixture after they faced title holders Chelsea. They gave a good account of themselves at the Stamford Bridge and were unlucky not to take even a single point from the game. They will face Wenger’s side who look to keep in distance with the top of the table. Here is the preview of the game between the two sides along with the Predictions, Odds and Predicted Line-ups.
The Norwich City vs Arsenal game will be played on Sunday the 29th of November at the Carrow Road in Norwich. The kick off is scheduled at 4:15 pm BST (9:45 pm IST).
Alex Neil has a huge responsibility for the last few weeks of this year where Norwich will play some crucial fixtures. He will need the help of his full squad and luckily he does not have too many injury issues with his players. Tettey who suffered a groin injury and Jarvis who did some damage to his knee will be the only absentees for this game and both the players are expected to return in the next month.
Arsene Wenger on the other hand has plenty of problems with the likes of Rosicky, Wilshere, Welbeck and Coquelin all out of action at least till the turn of the year. Walcott and Arteta are nearing full fitness and will be back with the squad next month. Oxlade Chamberlain is doubtful for this game and will go through last minute scans before the game. Ramsey and Flamini are fit and may start for the Gunners on Sunday.
Ruddy, Martin, Bennett, Bassong, Olsson, Mulumbu, O’Neil, Howson, Redmond, Brady, Mbokani.
Cech, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Flamini, Cazorla, Ozil, Sanchez, Campbell, Giroud.
Howson vs Monreal:
Howson has been one of the best players for Alex Niel this season. He has loads of pace and can deliver a decent ball into the box every time. He will be up against Monreal who has been in good form off-late. However, the Arsenal wing back has been exposed at times in the recent games and this will be an area that the home team will try and expose on Sunday.
Sanchez vs Martin
Russell Martin is an experienced full back who has been solid at the back for Norwich City. He is a good, old-fashioned defender who loves to tackle and press the oppositions hard. But he is at times beaten by skill and pace and that is exactly what he will have to contend with when Norwich play Arsenal. Alexis Sanchez will be full of energy and tricks and will do his best to get the better of his Norwich counterpart. This battle will be an important one in the context of the game.
Norwich City: 19/4
Norwich have beaten Arsenal just 2 times in the last 10 meetings between the two sides. They looked solid defensively against Chelsea last weekend but will play a more in-form side Arsenal who have looked good for most of the season. We can expect Arsene Wenger to see off this game in-spite of all the injuries sustained by the squad.
