Arsenal have completed the signing of Nigerian U-20 captain Kelechi Nwakali which makes him the fourth transfer of Gunners this summer.

The 18-year old has been long rumored to be joining Arsenal but the deal has come through with the player officially confirming his arrival at Emirates through his twitter handle.

The Gunners have faced a lot of competition from Manchester United for the youngster but the player has chosen Arsenal ahead of Manchester United.

“Kelechi has signed with Arsenal, it is now a done deal. He signed the contract 3 pm today (Wednesday),” said Amajiriaku, CEO of ASJ Academy Nigeria in an interview to allnigeriasoccer.com

“His mother and brother All well were there. Manchester City loanee Chidiebere Nwakali came all the way from Norway to London to witness his brother signing the contract,” he added.

Nwakali will add more depth to Arsenal’s midfield and is highly rated as the next big thing from African nations.

The Gunners were linked with the player since his impressive outings at under-17s World Cup last December, but it is highly unlikely that he might get first team football anytime soon considering a number of midfielders that Arsenal have at the moment.
