Even if it’s international break, Mesut Ozil is still going on breaking records. It’s like doing something as he does in spare time. Ozil is a phenomenal talent and his success rate with Arsenal is not coincidentally coinciding with the Gunner’s overall success ratio. The two are inter-related. They are completely intertwined.
After clinching a record of ten assists this year the German maestro has broken another record. If we go through the stats provided by Opta, Ozil is now the best creator in premier league history surpassing United legend Eric Cantona. In his 59 league games for the Gunners, he has a stunning games/assist ratio with 2.46 points. Eric Cantona had 2.79 points from 159 games. He has also overtook the two Spaniards Fabregas and David Silva.
Earlier Ozil became the only player in the history of Premier League to record assist in six back to back games. Also, he is the fastest player ever in Premier League to ten assists in 11 matches. As if, there is an assist record and you will find Ozil’s name on top of it.
Actually the German playmaker has become such a big hit donning the Arsenal jersey that he now has to find another part of his game to make an improvement, after seeing how his potentiality of passing attributes have reached the optimum level.
However, Mesut Ozil is not happy with the number of goals that he has scored till now. He is not fully satisfied with merely five or seven goals, he wants more and more. We all know, Ambition is really an addictive nature of human being.
The German maestro has now revealed that he is doing extra shooting practice during training sessions to make his goal tally much heavier. Who knows, he might be pegging for Ballon d’Or!
