Everton have made a late bid to secure the signing of unsettled Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko as he is set to undergo a medical.
Everton who came into the picture to sign the player have decided to match Newcastle’s evaluation of £30 million. Earlier in the day, Tottenham Hotspur were favorites to sign the midfielder but were willing to pay only £20 million which have put them aside after reported interest from Chelsea and Everton could finally push a deal for the midfielder.
The French international has expressed his desire to leave Newcastle United publicly earlier this summer as the club got relegated from Premier League. The 27-year old has been impressive with France national team where they managed to reach the finals of Euro 2016 before losing to Portugal in extra time.
The midfielder has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid but the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Crystal Palace besides Juventus have all expressed their interest in signing the talented midfielder after his string of stellar performances for France in Euro 2016.
The 27-year old can play both in the middle as well as in wide positions which helps the manager to have more options going into the season. He was keen to sign for a club that offers Champions League football but have to settle for Everton move as his future looked uncertain until the deadline day.
