The Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola said that he has no intentions to leave Allianz Arena before his contract expires and rules out a possible move to Manchester City when asked by a reporter.
Manuel Pellegrini is coming under a lot of pressure to retain the premier league title and to perform well in Champions League although the tasks are seemingly impossible to gain, Pep Guardiola is rumoured to be his successor at the end of the season if he fails to deliver.
Despite two trophies in his first season for City, the club management are not happy with the progress this season and are already considering the potential successors namely Guardiola, Ancelotti at the end of the season.
Pep Guardiola however is dismiss such speculation by saying that he is loving his time at Bayern and it is an honour to manage such a big club.
He said, “Of course I am going to fulfil my contract here at Bayern. I am happy here and my only idea right now is to stay and work for this club. I haven’t had a contract offer [from another club] and I am not waiting for a contract offer from anyone else.
“I still have a year and a half left on my contract. We will sit together in the summer and then we’ll see how things go I can stay in this club five or six years even. This also depends on the players. I’m not the most important thing for the club.”
