Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech denied the allegations on Alexis Sanchez as the latter was accused for laughing when the club were going down 5-1 against Bayern Munich at the Emirates last week.
The Chilean had taken a lot of stick from the fans as he was seen like smirking while caught on camera during the match.
But Petr Cech who was beside the Chilean during the incident has rubbished all the speculations and has revealed that Sanchez was just as sad as the rest of players in the team.
The goalkeeper said: ‘It is sad and he [Sanchez] was as sad as I have seen him.
‘And unfortunately when you say the sentence, “had we scored the second goal everything could look different” and then you know.
‘But obviously you can take the picture and you can interpret it the way you want unfortunately.
‘But we the players know exactly what he said and we know how he was hurting and he was as disappointed as anybody else. It is unfortunate and disappointing.’
The 28-year old is expected to leave the club at the end of the season after the recent events as he had a bust up with manager Arsene Wenger.
He was benched against Liverpool by Wenger during their 3-1 defeat to the Reds at Anfield and was also subbed off during their 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League last week.
A host of clubs are interested in signing him and he has only one more year left in his contract at Arsenal as he remained reluctant to sign a new deal since the start of the season despite intense negotiations that happened for few months.
