Tottenham Hotspur have pulled off a transfer success on their city rivals Arsenal by signing the Lyon striker Clinton Njie for a reorted fee of £10million. Earlier today, L’equipe had reported a story saying the Arsenal were interested in signing the 22-year old attacker as they neded a striker at Emirates to create competition for Olivier Giroud.
However, despite those rumours Spurs have gone on to the sign the Cameroonian striker on a five-year deal. Lyon had accepted a transfer fee for the striker last night with Player had already agreed personal terms with the club ahead of his move to Premier League.

Njie will be replacing Roberto Soldado who joined Villarreal this week. Njie is pacey and can play on the wings as well and he will be a worthy addition to squad alongside the lone frontman Harry Kane.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino was impressed with what he has seen of Clinton Njie in last 12-18 months and described him as a player which would easily suit his system. Describing his abilities, Pochettino said: “If you ask me if I know N’Jie? Yes, I know N’Jie. He is a player who can play in different positions,” boss Mauricio Pochettino said when asked this month.
“He is fast, he is a very good player who can play in different positions.”
Njie celebrated his 22nd birthday today and it was a real trat as well as he completed his 10million move to Tottenham Hostspur. Njie’s transfer still requires International work permit which is expcted to be sealed in coming few weeks allowing the player to take part in next weekend’s Premier League action.
