manchester United fans were whipped into a frenzy today when a private helicopter was spotted landing at Old Trafford.
Jose Mourinho has already secured the service of Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer and promised one more signing before Wayne Rooney’s testimonial on Wednesday.
23-year-old Paul Pogba remains the Portuguese’s priority signing in midfield and Manchester United are expected to announce a world record deal for their former midfielder – possibly as soon as this week.
Interestingly, Juan Mata arrived at United’s training ground in 2014 on a helicopter, while Ibrahimovic was taken to Old Trafford by helicopter last month to complete his move to the Red Devils.
United fans, exactly, for this reason, were understandably excited when a helicopter was spotted landing at the Theatre of Dreams in the hope that a certain Frenchman might be inside..!!

However, United are very much certain to sign Pogba ahead of next week’s Community Shield curtain-raiser against Leicester City. The French midfielder also seems happy to reunite with the Red Devils and United are believed agreed personal terms with his agent Mino Raiola three weeks ago.
Although last week few reports claimed the EPL giants hit a stumbling block when Juventus refused to pay half of agent Raiola’s commission and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward was not in a mood to budge.
Juve wanted United to pay Raiola, since he has advised Pogba on returning to Manchester, and reports say Woodward could have ‘folded’ in what could be a breakthrough.
Despite the breakthrough, Mourinho has become so frustrated by the delay he is understood to have told Woodward to finish the deal by next week at the latest or move onto Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi.
