Real Madrid have been expressing their interest in signing Alberto Moreno, Liverpool’s left back since some time, which may work out in the near future. Liverpool has set its eyes on FC Lorient full-back Raphael Guerreiro as a replacement for Moreno.
Guerreiro is 21 years old and has pent 3 years playing for Lorient , in which he has played 77 matches and helped save its blushed by avoiding relegation last year. He started his career in Ligue 2′ Caen playing for the B team but moved quickly to the A team in 2012.
Raphael decided to play for the Portugal national team, being eligible through his Portuguese father despite the fact that he was born in France. He has three senior caps to his name and scored the lone important goal against World Cup runners-up Argentina at Old Trafford to help his team win 1-0.
He’s comfortable playing full back and in left midfield and was watched by Borussia Dortmund before.
The defender has just 18 months left for his contract to expire and Klopp has expressed considerable interest in him as Moreno may go to Real Madrid.
The immediate transfer of Moreno to Madrid in January is unlikely to be frank. But, Morena has Spanish roots and the tempt to play for Real Madrid will entice any player and so Liverpool are getting ready to replace him in case he leaved for Bernabeu.
Guerreiro has been one of promising players for Lorient this season, starting 11 ligue 1 matches and aiding the club challenge to the top of the table.
He’s defensively sound, quick in the tackle and likes to push up and join the attack – drawing parallels with current Portuguese number one left-back Fabio Coentrao.
Klopp already has had a good start with Liverpool and his tactical way of playing has interested both players as well as fans and thinking of a good replacement before hand shows his managerial skills.
