It will be a cracker Monday when Chelsea and Manchester United face each other at Old Trafford. Both the teams are battling their demons and trying to stabilize their position in the league. While the former is gaining some formidable ground after a pathetic start to their campaign, the latter is trying hard to stand on shaky ground and get one win on the board to settle the drought that has simply gone on for two long, four games without a win across all competitions!

For the last game of the year Schweinsteiger comes back from suspension for the Red Devils and Darmian too might make an appearance. However, the presence of the Italian is highly doubtful. As for Chelsea, both the star strikers are out because of injury which gives Remy a chance to start the game. Both the Premier League giants will bring their A game tomorrow to get those 3 points which they both need desperately!

Predicted Line up for Manchester United

Goalkeeper

Not shipping the Spaniard to Madrid has worked in favour of the Red Devils and in this must win match when Chelsea will put their best foot forward, Manchester United need the best to guard their post and with De Gea fit and running there is no question of looking towards anyone else.

Defence

Ashley Young, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Daley Blind will be keeping the Chelsea attack at bay. With injuries to Rojo, Shaw and Valencia the defence has failed the team which has led to the current debacle. Though the defenders are doing a decent job for the team it is the forwards who have to take the game to the opponents if the Red Devils want the 3 points from the game.

Defensive Midfield

Schweinsteiger makes a comeback to the team foray after his suspension and will handle the mid field along with Carrick. Having the German back in the line up bodes well for the Red Devils as he brings in more pace and pure german instinct to the game.

Attacking Midfield

Herrera, Martial and Mata will be the forward attacking force. The trio have been average in this campaign sharing 10 goals between them. And their antics in the game will be a key factor in United’s cause.

Striker

The Englishman comes back to the frontline to steer the ship forward and the fans would hope that Rooney ends his drought and starts scoring again because the best way to win matches as we all know is to score goals!

Predicted Line up for Chelsea

Goalkeeper

None other than Courtois will be keeping for the Blues and it would be an understatement to say that he has been great for Chelsea. Though the Belgian hasn’t been able to keep a clean sheet in his seven games, but he has made 20 saves and since he has been back Chelsea has conceded only 5 goals and won two games and drawn one out of the five games.

Defence

The defence will be comprised of the four stalwarts who have started almost all the games in the season. Ivonovic, Terry, Cahill and Azpilecueta will be aiding Courtois is keeping Rooney and Co at bay. Though the trio haven’t been performed up to their name, Azpilecueta continues to shine at the back and has been Chelsea’s star performer for the first half of this season.

Defensive Midfield

Fabregas and Matic will be the occupants of the defensive midfield. In a miraculaous fashion fabregas has found his footing after the departure of the Special one and there makes the starting 11 under Hiddink and as for Matic he has been consistent for Chelsea throughout the season which has consolidated his position in the team.

Attacking Midfield

Taking the attack forward would be the trio comprising of Oscar, Willian and Pedro who have been impressive for Chelsea and have been creating chances which weren’t converted always thanks to either Hazard or Costa. Nonetheless, this trio will markedly be the difference between the two teams and make the match tilt in the favour of the Blues ever so slightly.

Striker

In the absence of both Hazard and Costa, Remy makes the cut and would be starting against the Red Devils. This season Remy has played 8 games and scored 1 goal and given more starts the French forward would sure add more goals to his tally.
