Emotions will be flowing high at the Upton Park this Saturday as West Ham United host the Gunners for the premier league clash. Arsenal who are fighting hard to close the point gap between them and Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur, need to win this clash at any cost to keep their dreams alive. The Hammers are having a great run of form this season. West Ham are unbeaten in their last 9 games in all competition will look for a win over Arsenal, who have been very poor in away games. Arsenal have only won 2 of their last 7 away games. With the magical Dimitri Payet and Lanzini in their midfield, their deadly counters can beat any team at this point and Arsenal are vulnerable to counters as they don’t have fast centre backs, so there are a lot to discuss Arsene Wenger’s probable line-up for the match!
Arsenal possible starting lineup:
Cech; Bellerin, Koscielny, Gabriel, Monreal; Coquelin, Elneny; Sanchez, Ozil, Iwobi; Welbeck
West Ham possible starting lineup:
Adrian; Tomkins, Reid, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Kouyate, Noble; Antonio, Payet, Lanzini; Sakho
Goalkeeper Petr Cech is expected to start after his return to the squad following a calf problem which he faced against Swansea, with David Ospina making way to the bench.
Hector Bellerin is expected to start for the Gunners as Wenger wants some space in his defense to stop counters.
Monreal who has been a prominent left back and proved himself both as an attacking and a defending full back will hopefully start today.
Koscielny and Gabriel will pair up as the backbone of the defense against the Hammers to keep the opponent attackers away from the goal.
As usual, Coquelin will start in the pivot role, with Elneny and Ozil a bit advanced in the midfield.
The star man Alexis Sanchez and inform Iwobi will play down the flanks with the 19-year-old Alex Welbeck up front!
West Ham United
Adrian will start as usual as the Hammers’ goalkeeper, who has been in brilliant form throughout the season.
Tomkins is expected to start for the Hammers as a right back.
Cresswell will start at the left side of defense for the Hammers
Reid and Ogbonna who have been promising as centre backs and keeping each other well covered in every match will pair up as the backbone of the defense again.
With Kouyate back in the squad after an unfortunate sent off Slaven Bilic has said:
“He’s a great player and he scored the first goal of the season for us and we’re delighted to have him back but, as I’ve said, he should never have got sent off in the first place. The good and proper decision has been made to overrule his red card.” Noble Kouyate and Lanzini will manage the midfield.
Magical Dimitri Payet and the beast Antonio will operate at the wings with Sakho upfront and they will try to trouble the Gunners’ defense.
