Premier Futsal, the world’s biggest Futsal tournament, is all set to further strengthen its position as a sporting league par excellence with season 2 of the global offering promising to be bigger, better and more far reaching than ever.

Former Ballon d’Or winner and Brazilian footballing sensation, Ronaldinho, will set the arena on fire once again, as he extended his association with the league by three years.

Premier Futsal has also collaborated with Dubai Sports Council which takes the tournament beyond the Indian territory with Semi Finals and Finals scheduled to take place in Dubai. With Goa paving the way for Bangalore and Delhi as hosts, the geographical representation of the league has now grown to four cities, and more than 24 matches spread across two weeks further strengthen its status as the biggest futsal tournament in the world.

The Futsal extravaganza will commence from 15th September and travel to Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore before culminating in Dubai with the ultimate battle for futsal supremacy taking place on 1st October. The six teams will play each other seven times prior to the semi-finals which will also take place in the port city.

All the match will be broadcasted live on Sony Network.

Marking the momentous occasion, Mr Xavier Britt, Chairman, Premier Futsal said,

The marquee futsal tournament revealed Mr Rajesh Kabra and Mr Hemant Kabra. Proprietors, RR Kable Group as the owner of the Mumbai 5’s team of the league. Commenting on the announcement, Mr Rajesh Kabra said,

“Premier Futsal has seen great traction in its first edition. It gives us immense pleasure to facilitate the growth of the sport in Mumbai and enable it to be an integral part of India’s growing sports properties.

Brazilian Football legend, Ronaldinho, marked the landmark occasion and expressed delight after formally announcing his prolonged interest in developing the sport in the country. He said,

“I enjoyed the love and warmth in India last year. Indian people are one of my favourites in the world. Futsal has been an important part of my life growing up. Premier Futsal has quickly become the biggest futsal event in the world and I am here to support this league in long term. With the season 2, I am looking forward to breaking the glass ceiling and setting new benchmarks. We want to inspire more and more youngsters to take up the sport and all out efforts, especially the Launchpad, are directed towards that goal.

Premier Futsal is a made for TV product. The format focusses on a 40-minute game split into two 20 minutes halves with a 10-minute break. The event will be broadcasted in United Kingdom, Middle East, Europe, South America, and South East Asia region. The ticket for the marquee event will be soon going live and will be available on Paytm.
