PSG Planning Shock Chelsea Raid For Antonio Conte’s Summer Signing!!

PSG could be set to make a surprise move for Chelsea flop Michy Batshuayi, according to a report from Evening Standard.
The 23-year-old Belgian international striker joined The Blues in the summer in a reported £33.2 million deal from French club Marseille but the player has failed to impress at Stamford Bridge and could leave Chelsea in the coming weeks.
It is understood that Paris Saint-Germain would like to take the striker on loan until the end of the season with The Parisians needing more firepower to fuel their chase for the Ligue 1 title after a less than impressive first half of the season.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has given his support to Batshuayi resurrecting his Stamford Bridge career and the striker could receive a further lifeline following the fallout between Chelsea and top scorer Diego Costa.
“I won’t let him go on loan,” Conte stated, quoted by L’Equipe (via the Sun).
“He’s a new player for Chelsea and to go on loan now is a defeat for the club and for me. Every decision I make is because I want to win. I try to make the best decision for the team but I am sure Michy will have the possibility to play in the future.”
After netting just four goals in 16 appearances for Chelsea, Batshuayi has been linked with a move to Swansea City over the past few days in a swap deal for Swans striker Fernando Llorente however that arrangement may now be on hold as a result of the Diego Costa situation.
Batshuayi scored in The Blues’ 4-1 FA Cup Third Round victory over Peterborough United at Stamford Bridge last weekend but the player failed to impress in a rare start for Chelsea.
But the Ligue 1 champions have identified the 23-year-old as a fitting asset given that he is eligible to play in the Champions League – the Parisians play tough opponents Barcelona in the last 16.
PSG director Patrick Kluivert is also thought to be in the market for an out-and-out striker as an area for the club to improve on, with new forwards such as Hatem Ben Arfa, failing to reach the heights set when Zlatan Ibrahimovic was around last season.
Unless PSG match the transfer fee paid to Marseille at the start of last season, the possibility of a permanent deal appears rather slim.
