West Brom manager Tony Pulis has opined about Saido Berahino’s future. The manager has expressed his wish to retain the player at the club but at the same time, Pulis hasn’t ruled out the option of selling him off, too. The manager doesn’t mind selling Saido with a club approaches West Brom with a good offer which is suitable for Saido.
“It’s the window so everybody is talking about his future again, which we’ve had for three windows now,” Pulis said. When asked if Pulis would fancy seeing Saido continuing at the club, the gaffer replied, “I was asked that question two windows ago and I said exactly the same.’’
“The club would love to keep him. It’s like selling a house. If someone comes along and makes an offer that’s too good to turn down, you don’t turn it down.’’
“But three parties have to agree on it – that’s the two clubs and the kid. If it happens I’m sure you’ll be well informed.”
This clearly shows that the club wouldn’t mind letting go of the player if a top club or even a mid table club comes approaching the player if the deal is of a handsome amount. It is believed that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the West Brom player. Apparently, even Chelsea was linked with Saido. As the January transfer window starts in 3 days, more news will follow regarding the deal and the bid. It was rumoured that Saido hasn’t been at the same level ever since the Tottenham speculation occurred.
