Manchester City won their second pre season friendly of the season with a 1-0 score line against Melbourne City thanks to Samir Nasri’s goal but new Manchester City signing Raheem Sterling did not have the best experience watching the game from sidelines.

The £49million winger watched on from the stands and got roundly booed as his face appeared on the big screen in the Gold Coast during the game.

Australia is one of the countries with a huge number of Liverpool fans and the booing must have been done by the Australian Kops.

However, the 20 year old saw his new teammates putting up a good display and win the match against the Australian side.

Manuel Pellegrini fielded an experimental line up with a blending of experience with youth.

City had to wait till 86 minutes for the only goal of the game as Samir Nasri scored with a volley from a Jesus Navas cross.

Enes Unal, the Turkish 18 year old young striker who signed for the Blue half on Manchester, also featured in the match.

The likes of Yaya Toure, NAvas, Nasri, Kompany, Clichy and Fernando started for the citizens.

Manchester City played their previous friendly match against Adelaide United in a closed door match with Brandon Barker and Bruno Zuculini on the score sheet.

Manchester City will play Roma next Tuesday on a friendly match and Sterling is poised to feature for the Sky Blues in that match.

Here is the video of Sterling getting booed by the local Liverpool fans:
