Real Madrid and Inter Milan have reportedly agreed a deal for a Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic according to Sky Italia.
The 21 year old from Croatia is one of the rising stars and was a standout performer in Serie A last season. Although some reports claim that Kovacic has chosen to move to premier league side Liverpool, Real Madrid seems to be his destination.
Newly appointed Real Madrid boss Rafa Benitez recently spoke of his desire to add a midfielder to his squad this summer, and it looks as though the Spaniard has done exactly that, as reports suggest that Mateo Kovacic will sign a five-year deal with Los Blancos for a reported €35 million.
It has been quite a frustrating summer in the Spanish capital as Real Madrid have seen their attempts to sign Manchester Untied goalkeeper David De Gea drag on longer then they would have expected.
The Spanish giants are also understood to be in the market for a new striker which will only heighten speculation regarding the future of Frenchman Karim Benzema who has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks.
