Manchester United managed to scrape through to the Champions League in the previous season as they needed a victory in the final of the Europa League last season, having only managed a sixth place finish in the points table in the domestic league.
This meant that the Red Devils could lure some of the finest talents in world football to the club this summer and one such player that is constantly linked with a move to Old Trafford is Spanish star Alvaro Morata.
Having joined Real Madrid for the second time, in 2015, after a failed first stint at the Bernabeu, Morata has been in decent form in front of goal and has helped Real win some important matches in the previous season.

However, he has not been able to establish himself in the first team at the club under the new manager Zinedine Zidane and is ready to quit the club this summer.
Chelsea and AC Milan are also interested in his services but Manchester United are close to landing him.
Standing as the second top goal scorer for the club in the previous season, Morata is a versatile attacker who can improve any squad in Europe and it is understood that Manchester United and Jose Mourinho view him as a priority signing this summer.
The Red Devils have decided to let Zlatan Ibrahimovic leave on a free while Wayne Rooney has little future at the club. They are sure to spend on more than one attacker and wants Morata as their first choice for the summer.
Zinedine Zidane is also planning to add some star players to his attack and is ready to let Morata leave but Real are reportedly holding out for a fee of €80m, which they believe the English club could be ready to pay in the upcoming days.

And according to Spanish news outfit Marca, Morata has now told Real that he prefers a move to Old Trafford.
The report also states that the players has reached an agreement with the club and the that the two clubs are now negotiating a price for the player.
It also claims that the player’s future will be decided in the upcoming week but do you think Alvaro Morata will sign for Manchester United this summer?
