After the sacking of Rafa Bentiez, thanks to a poor start from Real Madrid, club legend Zinedine Zidane has done extremely well to get the team back to playing some good football in recent times.
But with a number of star players are understood to be unhappy with their current situation at the club, the summer transfer window seems to be a busy one for the Spanish outfit.
Karim Benzema, who has failed to reach the heights of his previous season is scouted by a number of clubs in Europe and it is understood that Real Madrid are ready to make a move for the next player to lead the club’s attack.
Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has been one of the most consistent players in the Premier League in recent seasons and is reported to be high on the wish list at the Bernabeau for the summer.
Lukaku at present seems to be Chelsea’s biggest mistake by letting him go way before he could realize his potential. After a string of good performances, Lukaku is now wanted by Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Real Madrid will have to go to a bidding war with United in order to sign Lukaku as many former players including Louis Saha have praised Lukaku and think he is the ideal striker for Man United.
Lukaku has 25 goals and 9 assists in 37 games this season and has been one of the best players for the Merseyside club in this campaign.
He is young, tall and strong and has the ability to beat a defender with ease. He has the incredible ability to find the back of the net with consistency and will surely be a good buy for Real Madrid if they decide to make the move.
The Spanish outfit wanted the 22-year old before the 2012-13 season but talks fell through. And with the striker already stating that he will make a move to a Champions League club if offered might find playing alongside the likes of Ronaldo and Bale hard to reject.
Everton will resist offers but the player’s desire to move coupled with a fee of more than double the £28m they paid Chelsea for him two years ago could force their hand.
However, at just 22, Lukaku is expected to cost the Spanish outfit around the £60million mark, but with money not a problem for one of the richest clubs in Europe, Lukaku’s move might just happen this summer.
However, Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski is the top transfer target for Los Blancos this summer followed by Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane who has been in red hot form.
Who do you think will lead the line for Real Madrid next season?
