Arsenal could miss out on Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, according to reports. Benzema was linked with a move to Arsenal last month.
The France international has endured a difficult campaign under Zinedine Zidane and has been backed to leave in the summer.
Reports in Spain have suggested his close relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo is the main factor behind him staying at the Santiago Bernabeu for now.
But sports website Bernabeu Digital claim Benzema could be returning to France with Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.
And he could be used to help the Spanish giants land a key PSG star in the process. It is said Madrid are keen on Edinson Cavani with the Uruguay international currently in the form of his life.
The 30-year-old has bagged an incredible 34 goals from 33 games across all competitions this season.
A potential swap deal could be on the cards with club chiefs Florentino Perez and Nasser Al Khelaifi enjoying a healthy working relationship.
And that could be bad news for Arsenal, who could have to pursue alternative targets instead.
Milan are looking into the possibility of signing Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema this summer. The Rossoneri are in the midst of a takeover by Sino-Europe Sports, and calciomercato.it reports that they are evaluating the possibility of signing Benzema.
However, he is not the only option, as Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez and Lucas Perez are also options, along with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
