Revealed: What Arsene Wenger Said To Referee Before Being Sent Off!

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger might land himself in more trouble for calling referee Jon Moss a cheat during Sunday’s game against Burnley.
The Frenchman lost his cool when Moss awarded Burnley a penalty in the 93rd minute who were trailing 1-0. A furious protest from the Gunners’ boss saw him getting banished from the touchline and was ordered to watch the remainder of the game in the dressing room.
Wenger, however, after moving away from the pitch, stood at the tunnel entrance and refused to leave the area as he tried to watch the remaining few minutes of the dramatic clash that saw Alexis Sanchez converting a 98th-minute penalty to bag all the three points for the Gunners.
Afterwards, when the fourth official asked Wenger to leave the tunnel, the Gunners boss was seen to push back against him.
He has been charged by the FA for his touchline antics but his problems might be compounded after reports are suggesting that Moss showed Wenger a red card after he labelled the referee a ‘cheat’ for awarding Burnley the penalty.
Speaking after the game, Wenger had said: “It was nothing bad. I said something that you hear every day in football but overall nine times out of 10, you’re not sent to the stands for that.”
He later apologised for his behaviour by saying:“I was sent to the stands. I thought I could watch it from the corridor, you know. I went inside and watched it on television. I regret everything. I should have shut up, gone in and gone home, basically. I apologise for that.”
Well, the apology, it seems, is not going to save him as The Evening Standard has reported that the Arsenal boss now faces a touchline ban for his behaviour. Moss is yet to submit his report to the FA but the news outlet claimed that Wenger can expect a similar fate as that to former Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew, who was fined £20,000 and banned for two matches when accepting a charge of improper conduct for pushing assistant referee Peter Kirkup in 2012 during his stint with Newcastle United.
And if that happens, it will be a huge blow for the North London outfit as it will face league leaders Chelsea on February 4. The Gunners are currently second in the table, eight points behind the Blues and any poor result from now on can surely dent their title hopes.
