Roy Keane Delivers Hilarious Message For Robbie Keane Ahead Of Germany Clash

Robbie Keane isn’t just Ireland’s record goalscorer the LA Galaxy forward is also a comic genius and a much braver man than any of us! Keane is currently on international duty for Ireland’s last two Euro 2016 qualifiers, just a few days after his wife gave birth, and the record striker had a hilarious response to Roy Keane’s comments yesterday.

In case you missed it Ireland’s assistant manager, and former Manchester United midfield general, Roy Keane was asked about whether his namesake would be available to play considering his wife had just popped out their second child the day before . Very unlike Roy he wasn’t too caring saying; “Unless he’s breastfeeding he should be alright”

Robbie Keane has responded to Roy Kean’s breastfeeding comments following his press conference on Wednesday.

When asked whether he expected Ireland’s all-time leading goalscorer to be available for selection following the birth of his child, Roy Keane replied: “Why not? Unless he’s breastfeeding”.

The odd report drew laughs from the gathered media, but Robbie Keane’s latest response suggests the LA Galaxy striker is less than amused with his coach’s wry wit.

The Republic of Ireland captain was answering questions ahead of his side’s decisive Euro 2016 qualifier against Germany when he was asked to offer his take on Keane’s choice of words.

Flanked by his manager, Martin O’Neill, the former Spurs striker was asked: “have you heard what your assistant manager has had to say in the past few days?”

“Yeah, well he’s used to it he’s got bigger t*ts than me,” Keane grinned.

The tongue-in-cheek comment was met with laughter in the press room, with Martin O’Neill appearing unfazed by his captain’s take on his right-hand man.

The former Manchester United captain’s comments came after he admitted he was not surprised by Jack Grealish’s decision to represent England over the Republic of Ireland.

Judging by the comments coming out of the Ireland camp this week, the players and management are the only ones in the country not terrified by the challenge of Germany and Poland.

While we’re here analysing the permutations, Roy Keane is cracking the jokes out no end and making social media fall over itself with his comment about Robbie Keane’s new baby boy.

Robbie Keane and wife Claudine welcomed a new baby into the world yesterday with the birth of their son at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in LA.

Today, the comedian that is Roy Keane was on hand to deliver a loving welcome to the new baby and congratulations to the proud parents.

The Ireland assistant boss faced the media ahead of the monumental clash against Germany on Thursday and he was in typically wry mood when the perfectly reasonable question of Robbie’s involvement was put in doubt given that his wife had just given birth on the other side of the world.
