This leaves the club in the market for a number of players as the new manager would want to bring in his own set of players.
And it is now understood that Conte has already revealed the player who tops his wish list for his adventure at Stamford Bridge.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Chelsea have stepped up their interest for AS Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic for a potential move this summer.
These claims were further strengthened by Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb who claim that talks are now under progress between the English franchise and the Serie A outfit.
The 26-year moved to Roma from Lyon a few years ago and has been terrific for the Italian outfit this season.
He has 9 goals and 10 assists in 28 games for the club and is expected to cost on the higher side.
But a buy-out clause in his contract can see Chelsea snatch their man for just £30m if they decide to make the move for the player this summer.
It is also understood that Roma are not keen on selling their prized asset this summer a big money offer might be too much to resist for the Italian outfit.
And it was revealed by Italian media outlet Il Messaggero that the club has already started searching for a replacement.
Tottenham Hotspur target Alex Witsel is understood to be the top priority for Roma but they may also have to look around for other options as Conte is set to raid them more than once.
Pjanic’s teammates, Radja Naingollan, and Kostas Manolas are also on the wish list for Conte who wants to get the Premier League title to Chelsea next season.
But with clubs like Liverpool and Manchester City also interested in the 25-year old, it will be interesting to see how this story pans out come the summer transfer window.
