Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo seemed to be enjoying his time as he posted a picture with Gonzalo Higuain and other Argentina teammates amid fresh speculations linking the Napoli hitman to United with a massive transfer fee.

The Red Devils have been highly linked with a number of key players over the past few weeks, with Manchester United believed to be one of the busiest clubs in the summer window following their frustrating campaign.

Napoli striker Higuain has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and has once again been seen as a potential target for the Old Trafford hierarchy this month.

The Argentina international has many suitors: Arsenal being the persistent one while Chelsea, whose future manager Antonio Conte admires Higuain a lot and Paris Saint-Germain, who are looking for a superstar as Zlatan Ibrahimovic would leave this summer.

Several reports have suggested that the Louis van Gaal is ready to trigger the £74m release clause in his Napoli contract.

And Rojo might have been offering some advice to the highly-rated striker as he is yet to decide his future beyond the summer.

The pair currently both on national duty with Argentina, and looked in really good spirits as Rojo posted the picture on Instagram on Friday night.

Rumours of Gonzalo Higuain securing a deal with Manchester United this summer still refuse to die down, last week a report from Daily Star claimed that the Red Devils are ready to pay £85 million – breaking their club transfer record – to sign the Argentine forward.

Higuain has been enjoying an impressive form for Napoli this term. He has netted 27 goals in 29 Serie A appearances and converted a stunning 22.1% of his shots.

But Wenger has been a long-term admirer of the Argentine hit-man and has tried to bring him to the Emirates in the last two transfer windows. However, negotiations with the Italian club failed in all the past windows who have kept him at the club.

The Red Devils already have an abundance of attackers but with many of them struggling for consistency and because of several injuries, it is perhaps unsurprising that they have been linked with a move for the Napoli hitman.

Rooney is still sidelined with injury while Martial, Depay showed a glimpse of their credibility. New boy Rashford needs more time to adjust. That’s why under pressure LVG still needs more firepower in attacking line.

Meanwhile reports from Italian media suggest Jose Mourinho has already met Nicolas Higuain, father and agent of Gonzalo Higuain. It is believed that they have discussed about a possible transfer of the 29-year-old to Manchester United.
