Ryan Giggs slams star United player for his attitude

Manchester United spent a fortune on a number of players in the summer before the start of this season.
The biggest player emerging from that lot has been French national Anthony Martial who has arguably been their best player in the final third this season.
But the same cannot be said about the Dutch international Memphis Depay.
Depay moved to Manchester United from PSV Eindhoven for £25million last summer but has failed to have any impact on the club’s results this season.
His performances or the lack of it this season has been one of the problems for the club but a bigger problem with the 22-year old has been his approach to the game.
In the past, the manager Louis van Gaal spoke to the winger about his attitude towards the game and it seems like he has not learnt his lesson even now.
In the last game against Tottenham Hotspur where United were defeated by a 3-0 scoreline, Depay came on as a substitute in the 76th minute and looked completely disjoint from the rest of the team.
His only involvement of note was a scuffle with Spurs defender Kyle Walker and the Sun reported that LVG’s assistant and club legend Ryan Giggs is in ‘despair’ at Depay for his attitude recently.
‘The commitment and attitude of Memphis Depay was also questioned after their latest pitiful contribution,’ wrote Ashton, a Sun reporter.
He has ruffled the feathers of the first-team squad since his £25million arrival from PSV Eindhoven last summer.
‘Assistant boss Ryan Giggs, one of the greatest left wingers in the history of the sport, is said to despair of Memphis,’ he added.
Coming into the Manchester United squad after a good performance in the World Cup, Memphis Depay has somewhat lost his confidence and injuries at a wrong time have not allowed him to settle into his role at Old Trafford.
He has however shown glimpses of what he can do and with a long spell in the first team, he may well turn out to be the kind of a player United were promised by Eindhoven last summer.
But at the moment, Depay has had a season to forget and he will have to work hard in the pre-season campaign leading to the next season if he is to have any chance of impressing the manager who will be in-charge of the Old Trafford outfit come the end of this season.
Do you think Memphis Depay should not have signed for Manchester United?
