Mamadou Sakho stormed out of Anfield after finding himself not named in the squad by Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers. The 24-year-old was left out of the match day squad after a couple of poor performances, Rodgers opted for Dejan Lovren and Martin Skrtel in his starting XI while Kolo Toure was the only centre-back named on the bench. The £18m defender who joined Liverpool from Paris Saint Germain last summer left Anfield before the kick-off and immediately took to twitter to apologise for his actions.

He tweeted: “I really want to apologise to the club, the supporters and every person who felt offended when I left the stadium this afternoon,” he said via his official Twitter account.

“I’m aware that it was a bad choice from my part to go isolating to watch the game!”

Sakho’s shocking attitude will not help his cause to regain his position in the starting XI and the French international should have been more calm about the situation. Liverpool are playing in four competitions this season including the UEFA Champions League and Sakho will definitely get his chance to prove his talent.
