Arsenal’s new signing Shkodran Mustafi revealed that his German team-mate Mesut Ozil has talked him into joining the club.
The 24-year old have finally joined Arsenal as the Gunners were long-linked with the deal for the talented defender. Arsenal will officially announce the signing of Shkodran Miustafi on Tuesday and the player has confirmed that he signed a five year contract with the club.
The move from Valencia would become official on Tuesday as there is still little paper work coupled with bank holiday in UK tomorrow. The deal is believed to be worth around £35m.
Mustafi has currently joined German national team for the international break and speaking to Sky Germany, he said: ‘I haven’t spoken to Per yet, since I haven’t seen him for a while, but I spoke with Mesut and he told me everything.
‘How the club is, how its run. Everything he said was very positive, and I was quickly convinced since I find the club awesome.
‘Its not quite the typical English club who plays the typical English football but instead the football that I like.’
Mustafi would will join another new signing in highly-rated Deportivo striker Lucas Perez as the duo will be available to play for Gunners after the international break as they have successfully completed their medicals on Friday.
Mustafi had earlier played for Everton five years ago before moving to Valencia in a £6m and have been impressive for Germany as he played a crucial part in their Euro campaign.
