The 18-year-old French youngster joined Arsenal last summer and impressed everyone in the Emirates Cup with his consistency.
But he had to wait for an opportunity to break into the first eleven in the Premier League throughout the last season.
However, considering Arsenal’s failure to sign a new striker and with Olivier Giroud set to miss the opening part of the season, it now seems as if Wenger has decided to promote Reine-Adelaide to the first team in the upcoming season.
The Gunners have already removed Reine-Adelaide from the list of forwards on their academy page and while he is still to be added to the first-team squad, it looks most likely that’s where he’ll end up.
The French youngster is right now travelling with the first team as part of their pre-season tour of the USA and unless Arsene Wenger decides to send him on loan, he has a great opportunity of finding his name in the starting line-up for the opening day showdown with Liverpool.
In Giroud and Danny Welbeck’s absence, it was believed that Wenger will have to turn to Chuba Akpom to lead the attack but Reine-Adelaide could be a shock name on the team list at the start of the season.
The 18-year-old basically plays in attack but his best position is down the right wing. He is blessed with great dribbling ability and also ball control along with an incredible amount of technique for someone so young.
He is also extremely pacey, something that will please most fans and also help his game style as a winger needs a tremendous amount of pace in this age of football.
