Lazio may lose one of their important players as Marco Parolo is heavily linked with Antonio Conte’s Chelsea.
According to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, if the 31-year-old Italian completes a move to Chelsea, it would be Nemanja Matic who would see himself at risk of losing his starting role.
Here comes Juventus with their ambitious transfer plans as they will make Nemanja Matic their primary transfer target if Paul Pogba is sold to Manchester United. The Bianconeri want to hold on to Pogba but are willing to let the France international return to Old Trafford should the 23-year-old Frenchman’s former club meet their 120million euro asking price.
But now that Pogba to United is an almost done deal, the Italian giants have already shifted their focus to Premier League in order to fill up the gap in midfield.
Meanwhile, Lazio’s Parolo was one of the many bright spots in Italy’s EURO 2016 squad and there is no doubt that Conte is a big fan of the former Parma man. His high-intensity style of play and hard working mentality on both ends of the pitch would allow him to quickly adapt to Premier League football and would benefit Antonio Conte.
The new Chelsea boss will have the chance to deploy Parolo in many different midfield roles using the 3-5-2 and 4-3-3 which are known to be Antonio Conte’s preferred formations.
On the other end, Matic may, in fact, be open to a move to Turin if he fails to convince Conte prior to the end of the summer transfer window.
Juventus are undoubtedly an extremely appealing destination for any player in Europe, and Matic can undoubtedly find an important role in Massimiliano Allegri’s midfield.
Juventus are strong favorites to win a 6th straight Scudetto and with the addition of Dani Alves and Miralem Pjanic, the title is theirs to lose. A bright future will continue to shine down upon Juventus, a future that Matic can be a part of.
