Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole have been released by Chelsea,according to the Premier League official website.

 

Lampard, will be 36, when the new Premier League starts in August and it seems Chelsea have decided not to renew his contract. He joined the Blues from West Ham in 2001, and is the all-time leading goalscorer.

Ashley Cole has lost his place to César Azpilicueta and it is no surprise the left back looks set to leave Stamford Bridge. Cole, was also left out of Roy Hodgson‘s England squad for the World Cup. He has been linked to a lot of top clubs including Liverpool. Chelsea have also released Samuel Eto’o, Hilario and Mark Schwarzer.

Rio Ferdinand, Sam Byrne and Federico Macheda are set to leave Old Trafford. Barry, who spent last season on loan at Everton, has been released by Manchester City. Joleon Lescott and Costel Pantilimon will also depart from Etihad. Nicklas Bendtner has been released by Arsenal.

John Arne Riise,Joe Cole, Shola Ameobi and Marouane Chamakh have also been released by their respective clubs.
