According to reports in Italy, Watford have reportedly joined Arsenal in the race to sign Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina.
The 22-year old is a long-term target for Arsenal and has been long linked with the Gunners. The youngster is a defensive midfielder and have been impressive with the Italian champions over the last season.
The Gabon international was signed by Juventus for £8.08m earlier this summer after the player spent a season on loan from Marseille at Turin. He made a good impression in the numerous opportunities he got during last season.
According to Calciomercato, Juventus has turned down the €16m offer Arsenal have made for the 22-year old as the Old Lady are looking for a fee around €20m to let the player leave. However, in a sudden turn of events, Watford has joined the race as they are willing to submit a €20m offer to sign the talented midfielder.
But it is understood that the 22-year old is not interested in a move to Vicarage Road as he rejected the move.
German club Schalke are also reportedly monitoring the situation as they are also interested in signing the versatile midfielder.
