Louis Van gaal has opted to go with a strong team against Shrewsbury in the FA Cup fifth round tie. In a way, it could be the last game for Dutchman if United fail to win against a League one opponent.

For his team selection, Van Gaal has opted to go with Morgan Schneiderlin and Ander Herrera as his prefered midfield duo ith Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Mmemphis Depay help Anthony Martial in attack.

Manchester United starting XI – Romero, Varela, Smalling, Blind, Borthwick-Jackson, Schneiderlin, Herrera, Memphis, Mata, Lingard, Martial

Subs – Henderson, McNair, Poole, Carrick, Pereira, Riley, Keane

Guillermo Varela and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson return to the lineup t boost United’s defensive capabilities. Shrewsbury would look to hurt Unitd on the set pieces and that is where the likes of Smalling and Schneiderlin will have to stay strong.
