Sourav Ganguly, one of the owners of Atletico De Kolkata, is however satisfied with ATK’s fighting spirit, shown by the footballers in their crucial second semifinal at the Salt Lake Stadium on Wednesday evening. ATK, despite having won the match 2-1, has been crashed out of the second ISL with 2-4 aggregate after being drubbed 3-0 in their first semifinal.

Sourav went to dressing room after the end of the match and said them, “I have also faced similar situation in my playing career for a lot of times. So, do not get frustrated with the ultimate result.” The former Indian skipper had also gone to his team’s dressing room on Tuesday before the team’s training ad inspired his players.

Despite the fact, Spanish coach Antonio Habas has been criticized among the team management for not including his fit marquee footballer Elder Poschiga in the first 18. One of the team’s support staffs said on condition of anonymity after the match, “We knew before the match that it would be difficult for us to make the scoreline 3-0 without striker who is near perfect inside the box. Hume is good. But he is more feeder than a striker. In that case, Poschiga should have been in the first eighteen footballers’ squad at least for this match.”

Habas who was given marching orders for abusing Japanese referee during the match, however refused to make any comments after the match.
