English Premier League is the most watched league across the world as the league has attracted fans from all the corners on the planet. The league often has the best quality on display and almost every English player who plays football often plays in England alone.

With such competition there is plenty of English talent that comes up every year. Here we look at the five best English players in 2016 in Premier League.

#5. Marcus Rashford

The young striker has broke into Manchester United senior squad this February and has been nothing short of sensational since his debut. He is rated as one of the best young players in the world and have looked at ease playing against big defenders in the league.

Still in the first year of his career, Rashford has achieved more than most other players at such tinder age and could only grow better under new manager Jose Mourinho.

#4. Dele Alli

The 20-year old has been the find of the year as he is growing tremendously under Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham. He has been arguably the best English attacking midfielder this year as he played a major role in helping Spurs finish third last season.

His impressive outings has also earned him his first international cap last season and Alli remains a key player for Spurs and England in the upcoming years.

The Ex-Liverpool winger is enjoying his spell at Manchester City under new manager Pep Guardiola. Having made a controversial move to City from Liverpool in 2014, Sterling had a bad start to his City career as he had taken a lot of stick last season.

But under Guardiola, he has emerged as an exciting talent as he impressed in attack and adapted well to the Pep’s philosophy so far. He is arguably the best English player this season and hopes to continue his fine form in 2017 as well.

The English striker is undoubtedly one of the best young strikers in the world as he netted an impressive 21 goals in the Premier League this year.

He has grown from strength to strength as he is the main man for Tottenham last season as they made a great fight for the title last season. Despite being hampered by injuries, early this season, he remains an important player for Spurs.

The 29-year old along with Riyad Mahrez have created magic in the final third for Leicester city earlier this year to win their maiden Premier League title. He has scored and assisted at will to ensure that the Foxes do the unthinkable.

Having hit peak form last season, Jamie Vardy is yet to find the rhythm this season as Leicester are in the bottom half of the table going into the Boxing Day fixture.
