Dele Alli was widely tipped to join Newcastle United on the Deadline Day from MK Dons, but as per the latest reports, Tottenham Hotspur have raced ahead with a late bid to sign the wonderkid. Dele Alli, 18 is seen as one of the best youngsters to have come from the youth ranks of Englush football.

Newcastle United and Aston Villa were in advance talks with Alli but Mauricio Pochettino wanted to bring the exciting Alli to White Heart Lane and his efforts have paid off as it seems that MK Dons have accepted a £5 Million bid from Spurs and Alli will make his move to Spurs before the Deadline Day ends later today.

Alli has been seen as the young Steven Gerrard by the several experts of the English Football. Alli has been in fine form for MK Dons this season, scoring 12 goals in 32 games. Alli was the chief destroyer of Manchester United’s Capital One Cup campaign when MK Dons thrashed United 4-0 back in August.

Dele Alli has been easily tempted to join a much more fencied side in Tottenham in comparison to the other offers he had in his hands. It is still to be understood, what exactly Pochettino has in mind for young Alli. Telegraph reports that Alli will be immediately sent back to MK Dons for the remainder of this season but Pochettino has been widely known to give youngsters all the chance to flourish in his side, Harry Kane being the biggest example this season.

After completing the signing of Dele Alli, Tottenham Hotspur still have a decision to make in regrads to Emanuel Adaboyr, who has become a surplus to requirement at White Heart Lane. Clubs like QPR, Stoke and Burnley have shown interest in Adebayor and Spurs will look to offload the striker before the Deadline Day ends later today.
